Valley Mover is a non-profit public transit system between the Mat-Su Valley & Anchorage. The Valley Mover Mission:
To provide Mass Transit to the Mat Su Borough residents, with affordable, reliable & accessible transit service as we reduce traffic congestion, greenhouse emissions, create local jobs, and leave a smaller environmental footprint.
We are thrilled to announce that Valley Mover has been awarded a grant from the Big Lake Community Council to expand our SERVICE TO BIG LAKE.

Valley Mover is a public bus operating Monday-Friday between Mat-Su Valley and Anchorage offering 14 round trips a day. In the Valley you can catch the Valley Mover bus at the Bus Barn Park and Ride at Mile 50 of the Parks Highway in Meadow Lakes, Mile 53 of the Parks Highway in Houston, at the Wasilla Target, or the Trunk Road Park and Ride. Valley Mover stops at the Downtown Transit Center on 6th Avenue & H Street and in front of the Museum at 6th Avenue & C Street in Anchorage. All of the Valley Mover buses are equipped with bike racks year round. It cost $7 one way, $10 for a day pass, or $120 for a unlimited month pass. There are many advantages of riding the bus. You can nap, relax, boost the local economy, work, meet new people, enjoy your morning coffee, decrease congestion, help preserve the environment, and save money all by choosing to take the bus. Commuters that chose to ride the bus instead of driving their personal vehicle in 2012 saved an average of $11,479.10!!
Valley Mover was privately started in 2010. Currently, Valley Mover has 13 round trips from the Mat-Su Valley into Anchorage, with an additional two round trips into Eagle River. Valley Mover is taking over approximately 200 cars off the road each day and saving the community over $1,500,000 a year in transportation cost.
In Anchorage the Valley Mover bus stops at the Downtown Transit Center for simple transfers onto Anchorage’s People Mover bus system that get you anywhere around town. If your travels are further than our 3 convenient stops in the Valley MASCOT also connects at our bus stop locations.
